Location - Waratah is located at Brogers Creek, just 15 minutes outside of Berry. This is a remarkable area of natural beauty and abundant wildlife, with great rainforest and bush walks, cascading waterfalls and creeks with deep swimming holes.

Due to the quiet and peaceful setting, as well as the proximity of neighbours, do not come to this property if you are a party group. It is suitable for quiet getaways only. Excessive noise will be immediately reported and dealt with by eviction

Configuration - Waratah is a double storey home with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Upstairs is a spacious parents' retreat with queen bed, sofa, TV, ensuite, and a French doors opening to a deck, another queen room, a double room, a twin room with two singles beds and a bunk room with a tri - bunk (Double bottom bunk below and single bed above). There is also a main bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet.
On the ground floor is the entrance lobby that leads through to a spacious, open plan kitchen and living area with combustion log fire for cosy winter nights. The timber floored living area with well defined lounge and dining spaces opens out to a covered verandah.There is a reading room with TV, DVD, music system and a comfortable sofa bed that can sleep two. The kitchen is well equipped with gas hot plates, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The third bathroom has a bath, shower, vanity and toilet and the laundry is equipped with washing machine, dryer, ironing facilities and has access to back verandah.
Outdoors - Expansive lawns, a meandering creek and small fruit orchard feature in the grounds around this property. Waratah has generous decked verandas, back and front, with an outdoor setting and gas BBQ for alfresco dining under the grape vine.
Please note: outdoor fires are not permitted at Waratah.
Heating and cooling - Warmed in winter by a slow combustion wood fire and cooled in summer by underfloor ducted air-conditioning.
Linen - This property does not supply sheets, towels or pillow cases. Please bring your own or ask us for the details of a linen hire service at the time of booking. Should you bring your own, you will need: sheets, pillow cases, towels, and bath mats.

Minimum stay - There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and seven night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of January.
Peak changeover day - Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not generally schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
Internet/WiFi access - Sorry, this property does not provide WiFi. Please make alternative arrangements, or plan to switch off and fully relax during your stay!
Please note -
Waratah is ideally suited for a large family gathering, or two families going away together. Groups of ten may be permitted, but only once we have an understanding of the age, nature and make up of the group
Party groups, bucks, hens or other rowdy gatherings are definitely not permitted at Waratah - sorry
There is an unfenced creek on the property, small children must be supervised by an adult at all times
Being in a bushland setting there can be spiders, snakes and leeches in the vicinity
Being a rural property there are no rubbish bins/regular bin collection at this property so please take the rubbish with you on departure or fees may apply. Alternatively, please call us to arrange a sub contractor to remove rubbish on your behalf for a fee.
The causeway can flood during heavy rainfall cutting access to and from the property
